Dr. Abdulrahmaan is a highly accomplished C-level executive with a distinguished career spanning over two decades. He began his journey in the financial industry at ABN Amro and quickly ascended to hold senior positions in prominent institutions such as Mashreq Bank, Standard Chartered, and Dubai Islamic Bank. Dr. Abdulrahmaan has successfully led and closed over $20B worth of M&A transactions globally.

In his past experience, Dr. Abdulrahmaan served as CEO for Fairfax Investment bank, where he continued his successful track record of leadership. He is known for his innovative and strategic thinking, and his expertise lies in various areas such as investment banking, private equity, family offices, and asset management.

Dr. Abdulrahmaan successfully managed a fund of USD 10 billion AUM for members of the GCC royal family, and his financial acumen has been sought after by various prestigious organizations.

As Chairman of Multiverse Ventures Inc. and founder of Apollonia Capital Advisors, Dr. Abdulrahmaan has made significant contributions to the financial industry. He has also served as a global alliance partner of Morgan Stanley and held the position of group CEO for the private Royal Family Office of Dubai.

Dr. Abdulrahmaan is widely recognized for his dynamic leadership skills, strong character, and successful track record. He remains a trusted financial advisor to distinguished Royal Family members in the GCC. Dr. Abdulrahmaan holds a Doctorate in Business Administration from IAU, where he focused his thesis on Islamic Banking, and an MBA from the Stern School of Business at NYU.

Michael Sung is a technology venture builder and investor, having founded various companies over the years in diverse high-tech industries spanning across the Fintech, AI, blockchain, semiconductor, and new materials industries.  In additional to CXG Group, he is the founder and Chairman of HorizenDigital, a cross-border digital finance venture building and investment ecosystem that is focused on rapidly commercialising and scaling blockchain and digital finance innovation to institutions and developing countries. 

Prof. Sung is the founding Director of the Institute of Digital Finance Innovation at the Zhejiang International Business School. He is also the Chief Scientist for the Frontier Institute of Regulation and Supervision Technology, a Fintech think tank founded in partnership with the Beijing government focused on Regtech technologies. Previously, he was the founding Co-Director of the Fudan Fanhai Fintech Research Center at the Fanhai International School of Finance at Fudan University, faculty at the Chinese Institute of Economics and Finance, and Director of Industry Engagement at the HK University of Science and Technology.

Prof. Sung has served in numerous advisory roles over the years for the governments in Greater China on international tech transfer, innovation ecosystem building, AI, blockchain, and Fintech policy for various top city and minister-level officials. He is a world-recognized expert on digital currencies and digital securities, in particular the digital currencies/e-CNY.

 Prof. Sung also curates content for Crypto Finance Conference and has organized and hosted high-profile forums including the One World Blockchain Forum and an annual Future of Fintech and Finance Forum at Davos. He was also the chairman of the steering committee for MIT Tech Review's Emtech HK Conference. 

Prof. Sung is a Global Blockchain Business Council ambassador, Professional Council member for the Global Fintech Institute, and Digital Economy Task Force member for the UN ESCAP Sustainable Business Network. He has received various awards for technology entrepreneurship, including MIT Enterprise Forum’s Most Visionary Technology Award and Google’s Solve for X Prize. Prof. Sung received his Ph.D. in EECS at the MIT Media Lab/Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory as well as a graduate financial engineering degree from MIT Sloan Business School.
